The Chianti area, between Florence and Siena, is one of the most beautiful countryside's in Italy and a famous wine production area.

Museo degli Argenti - Firenze in Toscana
Nelle sale terrene di Palazzo Pitti, destinate in origine ad appartamento estivo del Granduca, e nel relativo mezzanino, ha sede dal 1861 il Museo degli Argenti, che raccoglie oggetti preziosi di natura diversa (gemme, cammei, pietre dure, avori, gioielli, argenti...) a documentare il fasto principesco e il gusto collezionistico delle dinastie che si sono succedute in Toscana, in particolare i Medici e i Lorena. Il nucleo della raccolta, di provenienza medicea, si trovava originariamente nel Palazzo Medici di via Larga (oggi via Cavour), dove già Cosimo il Vecchio aveva iniziato nel Quattrocento una vasta e non omogenea collezione di oggetti preziosi, continuata poi dal figlio Piero e dal nipote Lorenzo il Magnifico: uno dei complessi più importanti è infatti costituito dai vasi appartenuti a Lorenzo, pezzi di importanza unica dal punto di vista storico e artistico.
