L'hôtel Martelli, situé dans un ancien palais appartenant à la famille des Medici, est situé dans le centre historique de Florence, à deux pas du Dôme, des Uffizi, des principaux musées florentins et de la gare des trains de Santa Maria Novella.
On dit que Caterina dei Medici (1519-1589) séjournait dans la chambre numéro 47 quand elle venait en visite à Florence.
Certaines zones intérieures de l'hôtel, comme les salons et la salle à déjeuner, ont maintenu le tyle florentin avec meubles anciens et splendides fresques aux parois, d'autres au contraire sont caractérisées par un mobilier moderne qui se marie bien avec la structure raffinée de l'hôtel.
